I received some free doggie treats in the mail courtesy of influenster.com. They were for my dog to try. I did not know that my dog would have liked them so much. At first i was skeptic being that my dog is sometimes picky with his dog treats. At first glance it looked like he did not want to get near them , however I am guessing that was just his way of saying" hey, I'm smelling the product before I try it out. " Overall my dog has been loving the product non stop that I have to stretch it out in fear of running out of them too soon. Only thing I would change, is lowering the price and continue to keep the high end ingredients.

The Purge: Anarchy SPOILER ALERT

SPOILER ALERT.....this tues i was invited to watch  The Purge: Anarchy for free and was asked to do a review on it so here it goes… I was pretty excited to see this film. Only because the first film brought a new idea that hadn’t really been done before. First film took place in a home and was more psychological then it was bloody.

This time around this scenes took place in a city, with a whole different atmosphere. In the first film we didn’t know who would purge. Plus America seemed much more “controlled “ than this one.

 In this one, everyone seems very capable of purging. This will become very annoying as the movie progresses because everyone in the movie seems like they keep flip flopping their own views.  Everyone in the first film was ready to change any of their views. Here it seemed that every was ready to hold hands at any minute. Which is why they almost killed several times.

Film starts off with 3 main stories that will collide within the next 40 minutes. No joke. We have the badass, the waitress w the annoying daughter aka captain obvious, and the couple. The movies action sequences do not really start until 40 minutes in when the badass guy,, drives around town and then decides to save the waitress lady, her annoying daughter and the couple with the husband whose afraid of his own shadow.

Important things to note here: the badass guy never reveals his name (only as sergeant) all we know is that he’s divorced, likes to play with guns, has heavy military training and is gonna go kill some guy that ran over his kid(not during a purge though) which I think is pretty dumb , because his kill would not roll with the purge theme …..it would just be a matter of getting even…. 

Family 2: The waitress is a single mom who takes care of her father that has cancer. And daughter who is not only a character that everyone will soon dislike but will soon be wishing shes gets killed or something. She will be asking 1,000 questions throughout the entire film, so be prepared. I could have done without her character.

In the attempt to save his daughter and granddaughter from getting killed or starving to death in the future he offers himself to a rich family “ so they can purge”. In return he has had his $100,000 reward sent to the bank account of his daughters.  

This was a scene that should have been included but leaves more to the imagination. This is one of the scenes where the purges reputation fell short.

Family 3: was that of a couple. I really didn’t like this couple. it was obvious from the minute the husband got spooked outside the grocery store parking lot, that he would die. INEVITABLE. It was more a matter of when.

Recurring theme is “stay safe” and many non existent characters will be repeating this almost to taunt us, that no matter what, these people will die. Ironic twist it is THEM who die, not the ppl they say it too.

What I did not like about this film was that you would think that it takes place in the city, the “non-purgers” would have been more creative in hiding or something.

It seems that even though this second film was very successful in grabbing ones attention, (which is something that most sequels strive for and rarely achieve) I felt that main points were dismissed.

What truly bothered me is that all the victims never really grasped the situation that they were being hunted, that they may die any second . I think that if some wackos were chasing me , id be terrified but be prepared to fight.

Only 2 characters changed their personalities completely. Sergeant into a forgiving man and sparing the life of man who killed his son. And the couple, the wife whom after seeing her husband get shot by a machine sung(over kill) turns into a soon to be psycho “purger”

This movie clearly cuts the line(and the characters) between moral and immoral. In this case your either kill or be killed.

I would cut the last 20 minutes aswell. Sergeant is almost killed by some other army guy who leaves a very large clue for the third film. Are there one bad and one good team or is the good team really working for the bad guys and just trying to get pppl killed no matter what….aha…. I leave you to decide.

So as a part of this review I was asked if this movie seemed real ….the answer is no. Already mentioned that I would learn to fight or barricade myself in my home. Plain and simple. Nothing to think about. 

Last question do you think it would ever happen? My response: It already does, through wars, and well political things that I shall not discuss.

Overall I recommend it. Its good for anyone wanting to get their socks blown off. A 7 outta 10. If you ever saw the old Rambo films, mixed with the collector 2, then your sure to like this film. Good luck and its ok if you show up late because chances are is “sergeant” is still driving around town.

Vow Vox Box Overall Impressions and Conclusions

Tuesday June 17, 2014 (day 1)

Washed face with the eco tools. At first glance it looks like a Styrofoam device. I didn’t think too much would come out of it. Put on my (Wal-Mart brand) black head cleanser on it. This item worked phenomenal. Did leave my skin soft, I did expect it to be softer. I guess it was close enough.

Daytime: Tried Olay around 1 pm central time. No burning sensation. First thing I noticed was the floral smell. Went on nicely to my face. Word of caution, you really have to rub it in your skin. Or it will stay on as white patches. Great overall. Left my face very hydrated.

Only drawback was that around my nose and chin it looked like I was flaking.(Im not sure if it was the weather because here in South Texas we have hot summer days)

Nighttime: this time I knew how to apply it. I added the same amount . I made sure to rub it in. felt good and nourishing on the skin.

Only drawback was that it felt sticky.

July 5, 2014. It has been about 18 days since my last mental notes and notes were taken. I can honestly say I have made up my mind on all of these products. So stay tuned  folks.

Olay Regenerist Luminous $30.99

I had been wanting to try Olay for the longest time but could not because I could not get around to the price point of $30 or more. Yes I know that with most Olay products there is a reputation and guarantee that it will work. Let me tell you, I am beyond happy that this cream did work on my skin. I have fair skin, which is very dry and sensitive with any products that have perfume in them. However, this product did no such thing. If anything this is truly a miracle in a bottle. It helped get rid of my itchiness.  After the first day I saw a difference. It was a MAJOR difference after the 4^th day. It made my foundation application go on smoothly. I did not need to use a brush or beauty sponge, just my fingers. Even the amount that I used was hardly bigger than a dime size. So it also reduced the amount of product, not just the amount of time.  HERES THE BEST PART: I tried out a new makeup look at a bridal shower and it was shocking the amount of compliments that I got that day.  Heres what I did: Instead of using a primer. I used the Olay as a primer, hence my face look a whole lot smoother. VOILA!!

I am hoping to recreate the look tomorrow for another bridal shower and I promise you all, ill get even more positive reception.

Tide® to Go  $7.99

It was not my first time using this product. So you can imagine my excitement when I received this in the mail for me to try. This is perfect for those people that are like me, in the sense, that no matter what you do to stay stain free, you just can’t. Lol!  I cannot live without this product. This is my go to product when I am in a hurry, eating a hotdog and spill mustard or ketchup onto my shirts. Especially since we all know that mustard is a major pain of a stain to take away.Best part is that you can take it on the go, hence the name.;)

Pure Silk $2.19 (8 oz.)

I never knew how much I needed this product until I actually tried it. I wish I would have started using this stuff sooner than later.  It left my skin feeling smoother and left my legs smelling of the raspberries. It cut down the time in shaving. I wish I would used this stuff sooner. Made shaving sooooooo much simpler. Gave my shaving experience,  precision and hydration. The product itself was enough coating to make sure I do not slice myself with the new razors. (It was just enough to shave off the hairs.) I tend to shave quickly (bc im too patient) that I sometimes end up cutting myself.  Regardless I will repurchase this product from now on.

There is not too much to say, other than I liked the website. If I could afford it, I would use it.

Sally Hansen® Complete Salon Manicure™ $7.99

 There is too much to say about this product. However I will be nice to this, only because I really do like sally Hansen products. This product was absolutely terrible. I would have to reapply it every other day. Then I had put a top coat on it and still it came off. Worst product I have ever tried.  Not sure if I got a bad batch but I will not return to this product.

EcoTools  Pure Complexion Sponge $5.99

This was definitely the hidden gem. The diamond in the rough.   I didn’t expect much or anything at all from this product. At first sight, this product is very deceiving. My first thought was that this product was either a dud or some weird contraption. It reminded me of a Styrofoam.  To cut it short, I used Wal-Mart brand exfoliate pore cleanser.  With products combined, this sponge worked wonders on the skin. It left me feeling clean and even a hint of glow. Surprisingly it left my skin baby soft too.

VIVA VOX BOX IMPRESSIONS

Cetaphil®   

At first i really did not like this product. It left a lot of makeup on and it left my skin drier than it already was BEFORE i began using it.I decided to give it 3 more tries. Let me say that it didn't surpass my expectations, however with some effort and muscle, the makeup was able to fall off. Beware ladies, because I accidentally put some of this product in my eye, and it burned. The best part of this whole experience was that  Cetaphil responded to my review , on facebook,  within hours. I appreciate their concerns, and glad they will go the extra mile to help out the customer, even if they wont be returning.  Earlier last year I had tried there moisturizer because I had seen all the hype on it, especially for those who suffer dry and sensitive skin, like yours truly. Sad to say, it burn my skin a tiny bit. My best advice to anyone reading this and Cetaphil , is to focus on customers who have beyond severe dryness and sensitivity to skin, and you all will be GOLDEN.:)

Vaseline® Spray & Go

 

I was extremely surprised when I used this product because I did not really like Vaseline prior to this. I did not like their regular petroleum jelly or their lip products. I always felt like the products would leave me , like a grease ball.  I felt they were too sticky as well. So when I received it in the mail , i had an opened mind and decided to run with it. I tried it, I was in the surprise of my life. Not only did it smell great, but left my dry skin feeling slick and smooth. Left my legs hydrated for hours, before my next application. It instantly soaks into the skin and if anything, leaves one feeling refresh.

 I had already been a fan of their products. So i have nothing bad to say here. Very excited to try and re-try their products. Last year I found them at all the Walgreens being sold from $1.00 to $0.30 cents. Was very excited so i bought them all. Only flaw , is that is does leave my skin dry for a tiny bit. So i recommend moisturize before and after using product. Overall great product that brings the spa to your home.:)

NYC City Proof Twistable

 

 

I love all NYC products. So where do i begin?!!!Last Vox Box i received an NYC lipstick , which I loved. Everyone kept on complimenting me left and right. I absolutely love this product. Its twistable format, leaves the crayon hassle free. So no sharpening needed. A great dupe for the clinic chubby sticks. Great color, lasts all day. Smells great, like fruits. Color is my shade, goes well with my skin tone. Can wear this product to school , work , or a night on the town. 

 

 

Shell

I cant say too much on the shell. I do not really use shell because it is very expensive to fill up my car on this. After seeing others post on twitter, I can assume the savings are there. For some odd reason I was thinking they were already sending me free gas. lol!!

 

 

Pure Ice

Color was very nice. The only drawback is that it does not dry fast enough. I have to watch what I touch so the consistency will not crease. Looks awful when re-applying a second coat. This nail polish is perfect for the girl on a budget, or girl that just needs a nail color for the evening.

UniVoxBox ITEMS FIRST & OVERALL impressions

I received my Univoxbox from Influenster.very excited. it was my second box. items that i received in my box were: NYC New York Color Expert Last Lipstick, Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation, Broadway Nails imPRESS Manicures, Pilot Acroball Pure White, Red Rose Real Tea Premium Water Enhancers, Playtex Sport Fresh Balance.

RED ROSE TEA-First item that i tried was the sweet tea. I was thirsty and i felt like my blood sugar was going down. LOL!!i tried it and i must say it is far by the best tasting tea i have tried. i didnt expect too much from it, but i did get a surprise. THE GREAT TASTE. its refreshing, easy to carry with u. great for on the go. my friend jeramie, who is currently in california doing a masters , mentioned to me 2 months ago that she missed south texas sweet tea. That she was not used to the tea in california. With this little tea, she is sure to feel at ease and at home. im thinking of getting her one and sending it to her as a surprise.

PILOT ACROBALL PEN-Next item i tried was the pilot pen. again i didnt expect much, other than just a regular pen. it wrote well. i ended up using most of it and am almost done with it. i will deffo go to the store and get me a pack. it not only wrote well, but it did not bleed or take eternity to dry.

NYC NEW YORK COLOR EXPERT LAST LIPSTICK- this product is something i am very excited to talk about. I have never bought any NYC products before, let alone tried them on. I had heard from some of my friends and seen on youtube about the brand. however there is not much info on anything else, other than how great their bronzer in "sunny" is. Come to think of it, there isnt much talk on NYC cosmetics, period. Must make a note on that. Anyhow!the lipstick that was sent to me was 447b in forever fuschia. It is smooth, feels smooth, and goes on smooth. No creasing. smells fruity. one important note, it lasts more than 6 hours. great for an everyday look or a hot night on the town. very pigmented. i highly recommend. i cant wait to go to the store and buy other shades,just to test them out.i give this my 2 thumbs UP.!!

RIMMEL LONDON STAY MATTE LIQUID MOUSSE FOUNDATION- i have severly dry skin.before trying this on i had heard great reviews on this product. As i began my search i was surprised to find not many people had made a video for dry skin. i then began to think , that perhaps this foundation may not be for me.

At first glance it looks harmless and it is, so pardon my silly expression. Ok!so heres the scoop. I tried it on simply by dabbing it on to my skin, (as the instructions said so) used my beauty blender dupe from CVS. Ladies and gentlmen, it look horrific. my skin looked patchy, flaky and felt itchy. i was soooo disapointed beyond belief.

Thats when i decided a rigourous search on youtube and google to try to fix my problem. yes i moisturized but that wasnt my problem. i just needed to know the problem to fix it.

I stumbled by chance on some girl, who said to use makeup primer before hand if you haave dry skin, with any foundation product. So thats when i put two and two together. VOILA! i decided to put my monistat chafin gel into prqctive. i applied it then i applied the Rimmel, this time with my hands and BINGO!!my face looked flawless.

REVIEW: my face looked flawless, felt baby smooth, looked glowy and i felt fabulous.Craziest part was that it left my skin hydrated. KRAZYYY!!. i highly recommend this product to anyone. for those girls who have dry skin like me, i highly suggest a face primer before hand. 
this is a damn good product to say the least. all one needs is a pinch of it on the face and ur good to go. it looks very natural on the face and has long staying power. I will recommend this product to all my gal friends. So this product is for everyone.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Manicures-i really liked these cuties. made my nails look like i just came from an expensive salon. easy to use. easy to wear and easy to apply. my boyfriend loves them, he says that from now on he wants me wearing them.lol!!Been wearing them for 2 weeks now, no chips, no damage.
i received a floral design one. the art on them looks something like that of a Japanese cherry blossom painting.  when i run out of them (bc it comes with extra sizes) ill go and make sure to get some more . i hope influenster.com sends me more. so cute.

PLAYTEX SPORT FRESH BALANCE-i dont usually wear these but they were ok. Did its job. not uncomfortable and stayed in place. especially when alot of movement is present. i was walking up and down the stairs all day. great product. will i use again, probably not. not bc i didnt like them, im just not accustomed to wearing these over sanitary napkins.lol!!
